Activity #4 using Make Belief Comix

In this activity you are going to produce a comic in which you will describe the setting you prefer between this two: the city or the park. You are going to make the characters do what you enjoy doing in that place (take photos, play football, eat a sandwich or read a book, for example).

First of all, you have to go to this webpage http://www.makebeliefscomix.com/ and clic on “enter here!”

After that, you can start creating your project. You choose the pictures that will describe the setting where your comic will take place, and after that, you can choose the characters that will be there. In this case, I have chosen a little girl which is taking photos in the city (that is what I love doing), but you are going to choose whatever you want.

Finally, you have to click on the arrow that says “next” and there you will be able to send your project to your e-mail address.

Activity #3 using One True Media

In this activity I would like you to create your own video using pictures of your last birthday. In order to do that, I  want you to use this webpage http://www.onetruemedia.com/otm_site/register and follow some steps:

1)      Go to the webpage above, complete the form and click on “join now” on order to create an account and start working on your project.

2)      Start creating your video by clicking the “create a new video” option.

3)      After that, you have to upload your files, choose the song that you want and the effects

4)      When you finish your video, click on “share online” and send it to your e-mail address.

Activity #2 using ZimmerTwins

In this activity I would like you to create a video. Imagine that you are Edgar (if you are a boy) or you are Emma (if you are a girl).You are going to create a video describing the worst or the most memorable moment of your last holiday. Choose the setting and the character, and also what they are going to say and do.

1)      First of all, start your Project creating a draft copy in Word. In that way, it will be easier for you to create the movie. After writing it, you will show me it in class, in order to check any mistake or clarify any doubt.

2)      Go to this webpage: http://zimmertwins.com. You will find something like this: 

3)      You will not be able to start the project unless you create an account. So, click on the “Join the Site” button and complete the “User account” with your name (in the “Nickname space”), your  e-mail adress, your birthday, gender, and country where you live. Finally accept the terms and conditions of use and click on “Join the site”.

4)      After that, you will see the option “make a movie”. Click there, and then, something like this will appear:

Activity #1 using Tagxedo

In this activity I would like you to create a Tagxedo picture using the lyrics of  an important song for you. When presenting your project, you will have to explain why that song is important and when was the first time you heard it.

In order to create it,you have to follow this steps:

1)      Do a research on the internet in order to find the song you are thinking about.

2)      Go to this page http://www.tagxedo.com/app.html, where you will find something like this:

3)       Look at the left side of the webpage and start creating. To begin with, click on the first link (“load”)  write the lyrics of the song. You will see a window. Write there the lyrics of the song you have chosen and then click on “Submit”.

4)     After writing the text, start using your creativity and change the colour, the orientation and the font of the words and the shape that you want your words to have. In my example, I have decided to use the lyrics of the Christmas Song “Jingle Bells Rock” and the shape of a shooting star, but you can choose whatever you want.

5)     Finally, you have to save your project. Click on the "Save/Share/Print" button, choose "125 jpg.",change the name of the file and save it. In order to show it in class, print it.

Web 2.0 tool: Make Beliefs Comix

This webpage is really fantastic! Using it, you can easily create your own comic strip! To get started you only have to choose if you want to write in english, spanish, portuguese, french, german, italian or latin. After doing that, you just have to write the name of the comic you want to create and you name. The characters, the objects and scenes you can add to your comic will appear under the chart where you are going to create the comic. You can also add talk or thought balloons and panel prompts. This website is very easy to use, because on the left side of this webpage you will find the tools that will be necessary for you to create your project. 

In order to watch your project, you can send it by e-mail or publish it on facebook.

Web 2.0 tool: Tagxedo

 This is a really creative webpage where you can create a picture choosing a text or some words and a special shape, such as a tree, a star or a dog. This webpage is really easy to use, because everything you want to do appears on the left side of it. You can change the colour, the text, the font of the words, the theme, etc.

Have a look at my project! Christmas is, for me, the best celebration of the year, so I have decided to create a picture using the lyrics of the Christmas Song “ Jingle Bell Rock” and the shape of a shooting star.

This page is really fantastic! You can create videos using three characters: 13, Emma and Edgar. This three characters can jump, run, dance, sing or whatever you want them to do! You can also choose the setting where you want them to do those actions! A short video, that will appear as soon as you log in the webpage, will guide you in order to create your own movie, so it is so wasy to use it that you will not have any problems using it.

 

I have decided to create a movie showing a speial birthday party that 13 and Edgar are preparing to Emma. Have a look at it!
